Casey was born in upstate New York. He received a BA in Classics from Hamilton College and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. He has received fellowships and scholarships from Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, Community of Writers at Squaw Valley, Anne LaBastille Memorial Writers Residency, The Edward F. Albee Foundation, the Virginia Center for Creative Arts and Monson Arts.
He lives in Saratoga Springs with his wife and is finishing a novel.
